Reassurance Calls (Sunshine Program)

Everyday, Crisis Line calls elderly, disabled and homebound individuals with a friendly chat to check on their well-being.

If needed Crisis Line volunteer operators will remind an individual to take their medication, increasing an individuals independence and self sufficiency.  The program provides an individual and/or their family the security of knowing that someone is checking on them.

Crisis Line prefers an individual has a responder, ensuring the Crisis Line can contact someone in case of an emergency.  If no responder is available or an individual doesn't have one, when necessary the police are then contacted to do a wellness check.

Since Crisis Line is 24/7 we can call an individual several times a day and at any time of the day or night.
